Hydraulics

Hydraulic design, repair, and integration for real-world equipment

Our hydraulics team designs, builds, and services hydraulic systems that move, lift, clamp, and power equipment on the floor every day. From power units and valve manifolds to cylinders, hoses, and hard lines, we focus on reliability, serviceability, and clean installs.

What our Hydraulics team provides

We support everything from new hydraulic systems to repairs and upgrades on existing equipment. That includes power units, cylinders, valves, hose and tube runs, filtration, and troubleshooting for problems that are hard to track down on the floor.

Because hydraulics touch fabrication, machining, controls, and assembly, our team works closely with every department so the result is not just a functional circuit, but a clean, safe, and maintainable installation.

  • Design and build of hydraulic power units (HPUs) and manifolds
  • Cylinder selection, mounting, and replacement for new and existing equipment
  • Hose, hard line, and tube routing with attention to protection and service access
  • Filtration, cooling, and contamination control improvements
  • Troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades for underperforming or aging systems

How our hydraulics process works

  1. System review – We look at your machine, prints, and symptoms (or goals) to understand what the hydraulic system needs to do and where the pain points are.
  2. Design or diagnosis – For new systems, we size pumps, valves, cylinders, and lines. For existing ones, we track down issues like heat, slow operation, pressure loss, or leaks.
  3. Build & plumbing – Power units, manifolds, and lines are built and plumbed with proper routing, clamping, and protection for hoses and tubes.
  4. Integration with controls – We work with the controls team to tie valves, sensors, and pressure switches into PLCs and safety systems where needed.
  5. Testing & commissioning – Systems are filled, bled, tested, and adjusted so cylinders move as expected, pressures are correct, and the machine operates safely and consistently.

Whether you’re building a new hydraulic machine, cleaning up an old one, or chasing a nagging issue, our hydraulics group focuses on making the system more reliable and easier to live with.

Why choose Troyer Brothers for hydraulics?

Hydraulics rarely live in a vacuum — they connect to frames, tooling, guards, controls, and operators. Because we handle fabrication, machining, controls, and assembly in-house, we design and service your hydraulic system in the full context of the machine it lives on.

  • Hands-on field experience – Hydraulic work done by people who see how machines actually run, leak, and wear in production environments.
  • Cleaner, safer plumbing – Thoughtful hose and tube routing that avoids pinch points, abrasion, and trip hazards while preserving access.
  • Better long-term reliability – Focus on filtration, cooling, contamination control, and component selection to extend system life.
  • Support for new builds and retrofits – We can design from scratch, modernize old systems, or integrate hydraulics into larger projects we’re building for you.

If you’re planning a new hydraulic machine, wrestling with a problem system, or just want a cleaner, more reliable setup, our hydraulics department can help you get there.
